Blessing after blessing!

With less than 1 week to go I want to remember a few ways God has reminded me of his presence in this whole process.

- My goal was to raise $7,000. It seemed unreal, but my church pulled together and raised exactly that in a love offering. It was an amazing moment.

-When I went to the the Health Department the woman who administered my shot also happened to ask what Malaria medicine I was prescribed. She then informed me that that medicine wouldn't work in Uganda and took it upon herself to call the best pharmacist she knew to figure out what I could take since I was allergic to the most common malaria medicine. And right before I left she added me to this giant calendar hanging on her wall with days to pray for people. It was very touching.

-I have been blessed by incredible family and friends who have continually lifted me up in prayer, supported me financially, and have done so much to make sure I'm prepared for this trip.

- When I was stressed out about getting all my payments taken care of and booking my flights, the secretary at my church took on that responsibility... not having to stress is the best gift of them all.

- My sister and my brother in law Jason have been gracious enough to let me leave my things at their house while I'm gone and stay there until I get back on my feet in the fall. So that took care of so many bills and headaches while I am away!

-I was able to see my sweet Eloise Josephine before I leave. My friends Mat and Nikki had their first child Ilona while I was away and I have never been able to make it to any of her birthday parties! I told Eloise, before she was born, that we would meet before I left! It's such a blessing to see healthy, happy babies and their families!

- Everyone asks about how Jeremy feels about my trip. Well, he couldn't be more supportive! He's a fantastic encourager and has really helped remind me of how important it is to follow God's call on our lives. He is doing the same by starting seminary in the fall and I couldn't be more proud!

- My bible study. We studied "Experiencing God" this year and it was truly a blessing to be in a class filled with people desiring to know God more. Thanks for your support, prayers, and encouragement.

There are so many things I can add to this list. I am incredibly blessed and it is overwhelming. It's so easy for me to do something like travel to Africa when I have the best support system anyone could ever ask for! Thank you to everyone who has made this trip what it is. I am so excited to see how God works in my life and yours during this time!
